Cleaning and casing of the hydrogeological borehole

[17.4.2025] Dozens of boreholes ranging from 100 to 500 m for seasonal heat storage and two 3.5 km deep geothermal boreholes will be drilled in the RINGEN research infrastructure in Litoměřice over the next few years. Drilling at these depths and the future operation require continuous monitoring of the groundwater conditions. Therefore, a hydrogeological monitoring well was completed here during the spring of 2025. In order to be used for groundwater monitoring, it must first be thoroughly cleaned.
The hydrogeological borehole was carried out within the framework of the European PUSH-IT project, which deals with the research and application of the Underground Thermal Energy Storage (UTES).
